Robo Jo-Jo Exclusive - Jeulzzz Interview

Robo Jo-Jo: So tell us who Jeulzzz is and where you come from and how old are you and when did you start producing dubstep. ?

Jeulzzz:

Well Jeulzzz is me :D IM 22 old at the moment and started making dudstep when i just turned 21 and i Haven’t looked back since.

Robo Jo-Jo: How old where you when you got influenced by the music you enjoy. ?

Jeulzzz:

Well i have always been a fan of electronic music as a whole, but it was when i heard dubstep i thought 'this is nothing like i heard before' bass hooked insanity as i call it. and the track that converted me to this genre was Datsik - havoc and Emalkay - when i look at you. since then it has taken over my life.

Robo Jo-Jo: What are the main influences to you genre of choice and what do you see in the music of what you like. ?

Jeulzzz:

To many. My main influence is Datsik, but the others are Ajapaie, excision, RoboKOP, Skrillex, Nero to many to name.

Robo Jo-Jo: What do you do when you produce your music in the recording studio how longs does it take you to finish your productions what do you like to have in hand. ?

Jeulzzz:

I like to spend at least 3 weeks to make a track to get all aspects covered. But i never have mastered a track professionally which is something i got to start doing to get serious with my music.

Robo Jo-Jo: What is your studio set up what Software / Hardware do you use and which piece of Technology is your favourite in your studio?

Jeulzzz:

IM all about vst plugins. but i have a propidie 2 4 octive midi controller whihc 2 30 watt speakears and a 50 watt sub :P. My favourite tool for making my bass is native instruments massive. the possibilities are endless. i also use Ableton 8 to sequence my music.

Robo Jo-Jo: if you could collad with anyone who would it be and why and what producer/artist/musician would you want to meet. ?

Jeulzzz:

It would have to definitely  have to be Datsik and Skirllex. they both have a massive stamp on in the dubstep scene, and especially Datsik i got most of my inspiration and idea's from him.WHAT A FUCKING GENIUS.

Robo Jo-Jo: What is your favourite thing to eat and drink. ?

Jeulzzz:

Well definitely pasta :D but when IM producing i always have lucozade orange and haribos tto give me the sugar boost. :d

Robo Jo-Jo: What Medium Do You Prefer Vinyl / MP3 And Why. ?

Jeulzzz:

MP3. All day. its got to the digital age now where its all about electronics and gear. The way forward.

What to you think about Robostep of what it can bring to the scene of dubstep and how does it become what it is and how did you start to make it. ?

Jeulzzz:

I think that Robostep is a very specialist genre. and has been pioneered by datsik and excsion. this is somthing that will never make mainstream which i am very glad about because it will always bee unique. all the bass sounds out of dubstep have a robotic bass which built the foundations of dubstep.... i am a MASSIVE MASSIVE FAN.

Robo Jo-Jo: What is it that you love About dubstep and drumstep music. ?

Jeulzzz:

Just the half time beats with the mental filthy basslines....soooooooo unique. You will never beat it on a scale of professional music...it becomes rather than producer you become a sound engineer as i like to call it. Takes allot of knowledge and skill to make the sounds you get in your head. and that’s what I love about it. It makes you able to open the door to so many possibilities.

Robo Jo-Jo: What is your top 5 Favorite Movies and what is your top artist/tracks of 2010 and so far in 2011 and who do you think is going to kill it this year. ?

Jeulzzz:

1. taken
2. Shaw shank redemption
3. obviously TRANSFORMERS !!!
4, anchorman,
5. Conair...al fucking epic films
