Robo Jo-Jo Exclusive - Zero Even Matters Interview
Robo Jo-Jo: So tell us who Zero Even Matter is and where you come from and how old are you and when did you start producing dubstep. ?
Zero Even Matters:
Zero Even Matters Is A DubStep Based Filth I love to create, once I found dubstep I knew it was a new beginning of music for me.
It really influenced me to do different things with my life and to my scene of music I starting making dubstep three and a half years ago now and really love what IM doing with it, just the punch the wobbles and the grime of the sounds makes me feel so motivated to do anything. Making music has taking over my life for sure but I could not have it any other way.
Robo Jo-Jo: how old where you when you got influenced by the music you enjoy. ?
Zero Even Matters:
It was around when I was 15 I used to be into heavy metal me and my cousin would jam out together making new songs,
and trying to find others for a band, that never happened Anyway soon we progressed into techno and hard style.
yet all a sudden one night being one with the illegal substance (cough) surfing you tube bored
we came upon some Excision IM sure the track was "Wasted" after that I knew that dubstep was my new genre and I've
loved it ever since and could not complain about it one bit.
Robo Jo-Jo: what are the main influences to you genre of choice and what do you see in the music of what you like. ?
Zero Even Matters:
The main influences for dubstep is just the fact of the dirty punchy sounds you can experience and yet alone make
Yourself. Its just that feeling of slow punchy steppy baseline that really get people flowing with the beat.
Robo Jo-Jo: what do you do when you produce your music in the recording studio how longs does it take you to finish your productions what do you like to have in hand. ?
Zero Even Matters:
Ahhhh the studio ahaha I got a little bit more work to do to mine but it still helps allot I usually like to have a dark secluded area where its just my domain.
Many drinks and snacks eat Healy kids ahah umm I try to move my studio into smoking environments cause IM a heavy smoker both ways ;P so it helps me relax when
IM in need I just basically like to set up a place where I can be comfy and not have to leave for long periods of time thus giving the full force of producing tunes.
Robo Jo-Jo: what is your studio set up what Software / Hardware do you use and which piece of Technology is your favorite in your studio?
Zero Even Matters:
Right now IM using a HP Pavilion dm3 Laptop with Adam Ax7's Which I Just Purchased So Sick And IM Using Komplete 7 And Fl Studio To Run My Sounds And Mapping And Yes The Adam Ax7's Are My Fav.
Robo Jo-Jo: if you could collad with anyone who would it be and why and what producer/artist/musician would you want to meet. ?
Zero Even Matters:
IM not much of a collab person but if there was a chance i guess it would be Dr. philth or Big Chocolate
simply because Dr. phith has the bass lines with punch and filth and in the perfect circle and yet has such a deep atmosphere and Big Chocolate has such a dance dubstep style that always gets the crowd moving and his synths Are filthy and evil yet punching to.
Robo Jo-Jo: What is your favorite thing to eat and drink. ?
Zero Even Matters:
Dr. Pepper and Mozza Filled Smokiest ahahah.
Robo Jo-Jo: What Medium Do You Prefer Vinyl / MP3 And Why. ?
I Do not Mind Vinyl but it's not so great for big sound sets the bass can skip on vinyl sometimes so that is why I prefer MP3
currently purchasing some denons and a berhrringer mixer.
Robo Jo-Jo: What is it that you love About dubstep music. ?

The bass the shure power of sounds you can tweak and the feeling you get not only from the melodies but from the bass lines as well.

Dubstep And Electro Are Going in so many directions it's hard to tell where the scene is going but people are just experimenting with the music with I personally think that is the
main reason this genre of music is pushing itself through the world so fast, dubstep and electro is the music of the future and other people are just going to have to deal with it. :)
